Cranky Fanatic Lost Podcast ~ Season 5, Episode 7 “The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham″
LOST Fashion Review: Episode 5-05 – 316
Did you ever wish that you had the chance to do something over again knowing what you know now?
“Practical” was all the rage for the Oceanic Six who’ve had the chance to dress appropriately for an airplane crash onto a mysterious island this time.
Sun went for earth tones.
Kate skipped styling her hair and wearing lip gloss.
But Jack showed up in a suit anyway.
Sayid wore his purple disco shirt just in case they should end up back in time at Studio 54.
No one mentioned any of this to Lapedis.
How soon they forgot about him. You know, the guy who flew the helicopter that got them off the island. They didn’t even think to give him a call. Ingrates.
Ben packed his reading glasses and a nice long book.
Looks like he washed his face before he left, which makes me wonder what exactly went down that got his face all bloody but not his clothes.
The jacket in earth tones with many pockets was the must-have accessory on this ill-fated plane flight.
Fabulous!
All I have to say is that the Oceanic Six looked a heck of a lot more fashionable going back to the Island than they looked coming from it.
That, and that this:
is the worst magic trick ever.
The guy just pulled a scarf off a box and said, “This is my bunny!”
I am not impressed.

Fashion Review 5.5 – This Place is Death
Not much to discuss fashion-wise about our Losties this week. No one changed clothes. Not one of them. Closest thing we got to a wardrobe change was when Julia took off her shirt and tied it around her waist.
Why she didn’t give her shirt to Sawyer when he wanted one so badly I’m not sure. Sure, they’re nowhere near the same size but neither is Frogurt and his shirt fits Sawyer with room to spare.
Frankly, I think its good for Juliette to start looking a little more young and feminine. That man shirt really does nothing for her. She’s been looking sort of Granny Clampett lately with that gun.
Yes, yes. That’s exactly who they remind me of.
If Juliette is Granny Clampett, Sawyer is clearly Jethro, Locke is Jed… Does that make Charlotte Ellie Mae? or maybe Miles.
The blood stain on Daniel’s shirt has spread out. Probably from when they got caught in the rain storm. Blood can be really hard to get out. I wonder if any of the people on the plane were traveling with OxyClean. Or maybe a Tide pen. I never go anywhere without a Tide pen.
The only other thing worthy of discussion this week is that star on the back of Jin’s shirt, which everyone but me saw, probably because I don’t have an HDTV.
This is what it looked like to me:
The red star is a symbol of Communism. Perhaps it’s a political statement. But more likely I suspect Daniel Dae Kim had a little friend visiting him on the set who was playing around with office supplies very literally behind his back and no one noticed till it was three foot wide on the LOST fans HDTVs.
I hope someone wears something new next week.

Fashion Review: Episode 5-4 – The Little Prince
Hi Big-O, Dawn here with this episode’s fashion review…
If you think it’s hard keeping track of who’s where when on this show, try keeping track of who’s wearing who’s clothes.
Here’s Jack and Kate on ‘Is-Penny’s-Boat’ post rescue after they’ve presumably had a shower. Kate, wearing what seems to be men’s clothes and Jack wearing a gauzy white shirt which doesn’t seem uptight enough for him. Looks like Aaron got a fresh blankie maybe but still no clothes for the little guy till they become the Oceanic Six.
Don’t feel sorry for him. Babies don’t care if they wear clothes or not and soon enough he’s living in LA with a plenty big wardrobe paid for by the settlement I’m sure.
But that doesn’t stop Kate from borrowing other people’s clothes.
She looks fab in Sun’s business suit. In fact she looks too good in it. She’s the exact same size as Sun, who you’d think was having her clothes custom fitted now that she’s a big wig of a huge corporation.
Sawyer’s become quite comfy in Frogurt’s time travel shirt, which he’s sweated all down the back and the front of. I hate to see what the armpits look like. I’m just glad I’m not watching “smellovision”. I’m thinking all our island friends are pretty rank about now.
Hurley borrowed his outfit from The L.A. County Lockup.

Sayid’s taking his business casual look a little too literally.
Claire’s mom has straightened her hair, and yet Jack and Kate were able to see her well enough to know who she was from the parking lot after meeting her once when she looked totally different.
While Sawyer was off watching Aaron be born, Juliet was putting her hair up in a bun. An industrial strength bun that can survive torrential downpour. Pretty impressive considering she had no ponytail holders or bobby pins that we know of. Maybe she carries them in her back pocket.
Jin’s got a little bit of a tan.
Our new French friends look a little more ‘New Kids on the Block’ than 16 yrs ago…. wait a minute.. New Kids on the Block was 16 yrs ago… ok the clothes are right.. they should be 1988. Those people who speculated that the clothes they were wearing were of the wrong period probably just tried really hard to forget what 1988 looked like.
Which brings us to Danielle Rousseau who was very beautiful in 1988 and also very pregnant.
I wonder who’s clothes she’s wearing.
Back to you Big-O!
Cranky Fanatic Lost Podcast ~ Season 5, Episode 4 “The Little Prince″
Sorry for posting this a day late. As you’ll hear me explain, I’ve been sick this week and that has slowed everything down. I did manage to do the show though! Listen in to this episode of the Cranky Fanatic Lost Podcast as we cover Lost Season 5, Episode 4 titled “The Little Prince”.
Fashion Review – Episode 5-03: Jughead
Hi, Dawn Owar here, LOST fashion correspondent for Cranky Fanatic.
Oh the Fashion Faux Pas in this episode! Sure I know the gang’s been tromping around that island for a good while in those same clothes about now. Even they must be embarrassed that John Locke’s man-boobs are looking bigger than Juliet’s man-boobs these days.
Also what’s with all the blue? Everyone’s shirt seems to have morphed into this slate blue color. Even Richard Alpert’s wearing blue instead of his signature “Others Brown”.
I love how Juliet calls The Others “The Others” even though she is one. And how she talked to them in their “secret language” so they complied with her request as if they didn’t understand her in English or something…
So let’s keep the teams straight. Alpert, Juliet, Locke, Charlotte, Daniel : All wearing blue. Does that mean anything?? Probably not. But maybe. Who knows with this show.
Ellie makes her fashion debut wearing an unflattering pair of high-waisted pants in the same week Jessica Simpson proved to the world that this is only a good look if you want everyone to talk about how fat you are. Even if you’re not really very fat at all.
But we can forgive her pants since she spent so much time doing her hair.
I’m sure it’s not an accident that when I googled video instructructions for how to do this french twist pigtails look, I came up with a video for how to do Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz’s hair.
Or maybe they were just trying to give her a hairstyle that would fly for 1954. Big-O noticed right away that her hair was similar to Emily Locke’s 1956 hair. Maybe it’s the go-to 50’s hairdo for the show.
Speaking of things they may or may not have done on purpose…
Everyone thought there was something off about the Janitor, but its too soon to know if he was odd because he has a bigger role to play or if he was just there to move the story along so that someone could tell Desmond where to go next.
But it is mighty odd that he wears a newsboy cap and standing in the shadows watch a room that probably no one would be going in anyway.
Abigail Spencer didn’t have time to change out of her work uniform before Desmond knocked. I couldn’t read the patch that says where she works cause I don’t have an HDTV. I really hoped it was Mr. Cluck’s but thanks to DarkUFO’s screen caps, we can see that apparently she works at “Quik Mart” where I hope to find out they sell Squishees and sprinkled donuts.
