On this episode of the Cranky Fanatic Lost Podcast we cover Lost season 5 episode 11, titled “Whatever Happened, Happened”. WARNING: Listener discression is advised. Not because of any swearing or innapropriate content, but because I rant quite a bit on this one and some people can’t seem to handle that. So be warned, I didn’t like this one and I’m not shy about saying it. If that’s too much for you then you might not want to listen to this episode. It is called “Cranky Fanatic” for a reason.

Wow, love how you are suddenly criticizing the show for what it’s been for the last four seasons. A show about the mystery of the destination. We know it’s been three years for Sawyer and hes gone through some sort of growth, yet you say that it’s out of character for him to help young Ben? Do you realize that this is one of the mysteries? Do you realize this show relies on flashbacks to give us answers? Same thing with Juliet. Dude, have patience…with these kinds of criticisms, I cant believe you’ve gotten this far with Lost.
The cool thing about this show is about how characters actually GROW and CHANGE…and perhaps, that is what happened with Sawyer. I certainly cant wait to see some flashbacks that go through the last three years and show us this.
Suddenly? What do you mean suddenly? This is what I do. When I like the show I praise it, when I don’t like it, I criticize it. That’s the whole premise of my show and why it’s called “Cranky Fanatic”. I’m a fanatical fan and sometimes the show makes me cranky.
So clearly you didn’t agree with me about this episode, but there’s nothing wrong with that. As with any great artistic expression, it hits people in different ways.
I dont get what made them think the others could do anything to help Ben in the first place. I don’t get a lot of things in this episode for that matter. Disappointing for sure. Sorry I couldn’t make the live show Big-O, I had plenty to say about a lot of stuff. I don’t have time to do anything at all these days. But I still listen to yr podcast at work the next day like I used to b4 you knew me
I thought the episode was Kate’s best and enjoyed it.
Dawn, it was Kate, Juliet & Sawyer who believed the others could help Ben. They all know Ben ends up with them and if he stays with the Dharma folk, he’s not getting better. They put two and two together and felt this was the best way for Ben to live.
